The day of April 13 is recorded with a tragic incident in the independence history of our country.

Jallianwala Bagh Massacre happened on 13th of April 1919.

The British rulers fired indiscriminately on thousands of Indians who had gathered for an assembly meeting at Jallianwala Bagh.

All of them were protesting against the Rowlatt Act in Jallianwala Bagh.

The massacre took place in a garden named Jallianwala Bagh near the historic Golden Temple in Amritsar district of Punjab.

On this day, thousands of Indians gathered for a peaceful meeting, the British rulers fired indiscriminately on them.

Many women, terrified of the British firing jumped into the well to save their lives with their children which was situated in this garden.

Due to the narrow exit route, many people got crushed in the stampede and thousands of people were hit by firing .
